If you thought Royal Caribbean’s Caribbean schedule was already packed, think again.
The cruise line has just rolled out additional 2027–2028 sailings, giving travelers even more ways to hop between tropical islands — whether that’s a quick Bahamas getaway or a deeper dive into the Southern Caribbean.
What really stands out this time? Many of these routes connect to Royal Caribbean’s growing collection of exclusive beach destinations, including:
- Nassau, Bahamas (future Royal Beach Club Paradise Island).
- Cozumel, Mexico (future Royal Beach Club Cozumel).
- Costa Maya, Mexico (Perfect Day Mexico).
Let’s break down what’s new.
Jewel of the Seas: Short Bahamas Getaways from Fort Lauderdale
Jewel of the Seas will officially reposition from Tampa to Port Everglades in April 2027.
From there, the Radiance-class ship will focus on 3- and 4-night Bahamas cruises throughout 2027 and 2028 — perfect for long weekend escapes.
Expect stops like:
- Nassau
- Perfect Day at CocoCay
- Bimini
- Grand Bahama Island
- Key West
If you’re someone who loves quick tropical resets without using a full week of vacation days, this deployment adds more flexibility to the lineup.
Serenade of the Seas: Western Caribbean from Tampa

Serenade of the Seas will homeport in Tampa starting October 2027, offering a mix of mid-length and longer Caribbean sailings.
2027–2028 options include:
- 5-night Western Caribbean cruises.
- 6-night sailings visiting Roatán, Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Progreso.
- 8-night voyages expanding to Belize City and George Town.
- 9-night Eastern Caribbean itineraries.
This gives Gulf Coast cruisers more variety without needing to fly to South Florida.
Vision of the Seas: Southern Caribbean from San Juan
In a continued trend of basing a classic ship in Puerto Rico, Vision of the Seas will shift from Baltimore to San Juan in October 2027.
From there, she’ll operate primarily 7-night Southern Caribbean cruises, including stops such as:
- Antigua
- Dominica
- Barbados
- Grenada
- St. Thomas
To kick off 2028, Vision will also run a 6-night cruise to the ABC Islands — Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao.
For travelers who want maximum island variety with minimal sea days, San Juan departures remain one of the best-kept secrets in Caribbean cruising.
Growing Focus on Private Destinations
This deployment continues Royal Caribbean’s push into its expanding beach club and private destination strategy.
Future sailings increasingly highlight visits to:
- Nassau (Royal Beach Club Paradise Island).
- Cozumel (Royal Beach Club Cozumel).
- Costa Maya (Perfect Day Mexico).
The cruise line is clearly building Caribbean itineraries that blend classic island culture with exclusive resort-style experiences.
