A parent cruising with a 14-year-old shared a photo of a warning letter online after being notified that their child had violated Carnival’s minor curfew policy.

The letter, issued by the staff captain aboard Carnival Elation, was brief and direct.
According to the notice:
- The child had violated Carnival’s curfew policy for minors
- The rule is mandatory, not optional
- A second violation could result in a fine of up to $500
The message made it clear that this was an official warning — and that future violations would not be taken lightly.
The Consequences Get Serious After That
While the warning itself might seem stern, the real shock for many parents comes with what happens next.
The letter reportedly stated that:

The teacher later clarified that her teen wasn’t alone — he was with cousins who were 19 and older.
However, Carnival’s policy is strict: Supervising adults must be at least 21, not just “older teens.”
