If you love the idea of the MSC Yacht Club but prefer sailing on slightly smaller, more traditional cruise ships, this is big news.
MSC Cruises has confirmed it’s expanding its signature “ship-within-a-ship” concept to two more vessels, making premium cruising accessible on more itineraries and ship sizes than ever before.
By early 2027, both MSC Musica and MSC Orchestra will feature full Yacht Club enclaves—something previously reserved mostly for newer and much larger ships.
What’s Actually Changing on These Ships

Rather than being minor upgrades, these are full Yacht Club installations, added during scheduled refurbishments:
- MSC Musica will receive its Yacht Club in late 2026.
- MSC Orchestra will follow in early 2027.
Both ships weigh 92,409 gross tons and currently carry 3,223 passengers, placing them firmly in the “mid-sized” category by modern cruise standards.
That’s exactly why this expansion matters—MSC is no longer limiting its top-tier luxury product to mega-ships alone.
Once the work is complete, every Musica-class ship will include a Yacht Club.
The Musica Class Becomes Fully “Yacht Club Ready”
With this move, MSC completes the Yacht Club rollout across the entire Musica class, which now includes:
- MSC Musica
- MSC Orchestra
- MSC Poesia
- MSC Magnifica
That’s a notable shift. These ships are known for classic layouts, spacious decks, and traditional cruise vibes—now paired with one of the most exclusive luxury products at sea.
What Yacht Club Guests Can Expect Onboard
Even though these ships are smaller than MSC’s newest builds, the Yacht Club experience itself stays consistent.
Guests booking Yacht Club suites can expect:
- Spacious, upgraded suites.
- 24-hour butler service.
- A dedicated concierge.
- A private, suite-only restaurant.
- Exclusive lounge and sun deck areas.
- Priority boarding and disembarkation.
Plus a long list of extras that make the experience feel effortless rather than flashy.
Extra Perks That Set Yacht Club Apart

- Daily in-suite refreshments.
- Unpacking and packing assistance.
- Premium bath amenities.
- Private shopping appointments outside boutique hours.
- Customized shore excursions.
- Private transportation in select ports.
In short, it’s luxury without the formality—and without needing to sail on the largest ships in the fleet.
Why This Expansion Is a Big Deal for MSC
MSC’s newest ships, like MSC World America, already feature massive Yacht Club complexes—the largest in the fleet.
But by adding Yacht Club to Musica-class ships, MSC is clearly aiming for consistency across ship sizes, not just headline-grabbing scale.
In its announcement, the cruise line emphasized that it’s focused on creating elevated onboard experiences guests will remember as their “ultimate vacation,” regardless of which ship they choose.
Once Musica and Orchestra are complete, 19 ships in MSC’s fleet will feature Yacht Clubs—a number that will continue to grow.
Timing Matters: Why These Upgrades Are Happening Now
These Yacht Club additions aren’t random—they’re closely aligned with upcoming deployments that appeal to longer, destination-focused cruises.
MSC Musica: South America Gets a Yacht Club Upgrade
After its refurbishment, MSC Musica will head straight into a South American season from November 2026 through April 2027.
Planned itineraries include:
- Brazilian port-focused sailings.
- Special 8- and 9-night cruises over Christmas and New Year.
- Calls in:
- Buenos Aires
- Montevideo
- Punta del Este
The season wraps up with a standout voyage:
- 16-night transatlantic crossing.
- Departs Santos on April 1, 2027.
- Arrives in Genoa.
That’s a long sailing where Yacht Club perks really shine.
MSC Orchestra: Mediterranean Luxury From Bari

MSC Orchestra’s Yacht Club debut follows shortly after.
Starting March 13, 2027, the ship will sail Eastern Mediterranean itineraries from Bari, continuing through April 24.
Ports on the schedule include:
- Turkey:
- Izmir
- Istanbul
- Greece:
- Piraeus
- Corfu
For cruisers who prefer culture-heavy itineraries over theme-park-style ships, this is a strong pairing.
What MSC Hasn’t Shared Yet
There are still a few open questions:
- How many Yacht Club suites will be added to each ship?
- Whether other public spaces will be redesigned.
- Exact pricing and booking dates.
MSC has confirmed that more details will be released closer to the sales opening, which is expected soon.
Looking Ahead: Yacht Club Isn’t Done Expanding
MSC has also hinted that the Yacht Club concept will continue rolling out on future World-class ships scheduled through 2031, signaling that this premium product is becoming a core part of the brand—not an optional extra.
The Bigger Picture for Cruisers
This expansion changes who Yacht Club cruising is for.
You no longer need:
- A mega-ship
- A Caribbean-only itinerary
- Or a brand-new vessel
Instead, Yacht Club guests can now enjoy:
- Smaller ships
- Longer voyages
- More regional itineraries
For travelers who want luxury without the scale of modern megaships, MSC’s move could be a game-changer.
