When you think of a celebrity vacation, you might picture private jets, hidden villas, or mega-yachts far from the public eye.
But Michael Bublé just reminded us that sometimes, the best family getaway is the kind you can book yourself — even if you’re a Grammy-winning superstar.
Why Disney Wonder?

Instead of a remote island escape, Bublé, his wife, Luisana Lopilato, and their four children boarded the Disney Wonder for a trip to Alaska.
The sailing left from Vancouver, Bublé’s hometown, and took the family on a scenic route filled with towering glaciers, wildlife sightings, and — of course — plenty of Disney character hugs.
The Post That Got Everyone Talking
After the trip, Bublé hopped on Instagram to share his thoughts with 4.2 million followers.
His review? Pure enthusiasm.
- He called the cruise “unreal”
- Praised the staff, food, and fellow passengers
- Recommended it to anyone traveling with family
- Joked about how much it sounded like an ad — while assuring everyone it wasn’t
“Every part of the experience exceeded our expectations,” Bublé wrote. “I’m not exaggerating when I say, the staff, the food, and all of our fellow passengers totally rocked. If you ever have the opportunity to go with your family I highly recommend it. (Hilariously this is definitely not an Ad but it sure does sound like one reading this back) I just genuinely loved everything about it so much I had to give props where they were due. We’re already trying to figure out how to get back on that boat again!”
He even poked fun at himself for calling the ship a “boat,” which cruise fans know is technically incorrect — but when you’re this excited, we’ll let it slide.
Celebrity on Board, but No VIP Curtain

What’s interesting about Bublé’s trip is that it wasn’t about private suites or keeping a low profile. Photos showed the family doing the same things every Disney cruise family does:
- Meeting beloved Disney characters
- Whale watching from the deck
- Exploring ports along the Alaska route
- Enjoying onboard activities with other guests
It’s proof that even big-name stars can enjoy the “regular” cruise experience — and sometimes, that’s exactly the point.
About the Ship
- Name: Disney Wonder
- Launched: 1999
- Passenger Capacity: ~2,400
- Alaska Season: Sails from Vancouver’s Canada Place terminal
- Upcoming Move: Heading to Australia in October 2025 for its final season there
Why This Story Resonates
Celebrity endorsements don’t get much more authentic than this — no contract, no product placement, just a genuine “we had a blast” from a global music icon.
And when that kind of joy is shared with millions of followers, it’s a win for both Disney Cruise Line and the families thinking about booking their own adventure.
