If you’re booked on a late 2027 or early 2028 Carnival cruise, it’s time to double-check your itinerary.
Carnival Cruise Line has begun notifying guests about schedule updates affecting nine different sailings between November 2027 and April 2028.
The changes impact five ships and range from simple port-day swaps to one fully redesigned itinerary.
The ships involved:
- Carnival Valor
- Carnival Conquest
- Carnival Miracle
- Carnival Liberty
- Carnival Pride
Carnival hasn’t given a specific reason for the updates, but changes like these are common — especially when cruises are scheduled more than a year out.
Ports refine availability, schedules shift, and sometimes entire routes get reworked. Let’s break down what’s changing ship by ship.
Carnival Valor: One Big Swap and Two Smaller Tweaks

Sailing from Mobile, Alabama, Carnival Valor has three affected departures.
November 13, 2027 – Port Swap
- Bimini is out
- Key West is in
- Nassau and Celebration Key remain unchanged
November 20, 2027 – Complete Itinerary Overhaul
Originally planned as a Bahamas sailing, this cruise is now a Western Caribbean itinerary, featuring:
- Isla Tropicale (Roatán)
- Belize
- Cozumel
That’s a pretty significant change for anyone who booked specifically for the Bahamas.
January 16, 2028 – Minor Time Adjustment
- Celebration Key arrival moves from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Departure time remains 7 p.m.
- The rest of the 14-night Southern Caribbean sailing stays intact.
Carnival Conquest: Private Island Day Shuffle
Homeported in Miami, Carnival Conquest sees three sailings reshuffled — mostly involving private destination timing.
November 15, 2027
- Celebration Key moves from the last day to Day 3.
- Cruises now end with a day at sea.
March 27, 2028
- Similar adjustment: Celebration Key shifts from the final day to earlier in the sailing.
April 10, 2028
- RelaxAway Half Moon Cay now becomes the first full port day.
- Followed by a sea day.
- Celebration Key remains part of the itinerary.
No ports are removed here — just rearranged.
Carnival Miracle: Nassau & Half Moon Cay Flip

Sailing from Baltimore, Carnival Miracle has one adjusted cruise.
November 27, 2027 – Port Order Change
- Nassau and RelaxAway Half Moon Cay switch days.
- Nassau departure time moves from 5 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Celebration Key remains unchanged.
This one’s more about timing than destinations.
Carnival Liberty: Western Caribbean Order Switch
For the December 12, 2027, sailing from New Orleans:
- Cozumel will now be visited before Belize.
- Port time remains 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Cruise now ends with two sea days instead of one.
Destinations stay the same — just rearranged.
Carnival Pride: Another Port Order Swap
The January 2, 2028, sailing from Baltimore is also being tweaked.
- Nassau will now be visited first.
- RelaxAway Half Moon Cay follows.
- Celebration Key remains the final stop before returning north.
Again, this is about sequencing rather than cancellations.
Why These Changes Happen
Cruise lines constantly adjust deployment based on:
- Port availability.
- Berthing schedules.
- Operational efficiency.
- New destination rollouts.
- Long-term planning shifts.
Since these cruises are more than a year away, it’s not unusual to see refinements this far in advance.
What Guests Should Do
If you’re booked on one of these sailings:
- Check your email for the official notification.
- Review updated port times.
- Reconfirm shore excursions once final schedules are locked.
- Make sure your contact info is current with Carnival.
Most of these adjustments are minor, but that November 20 Carnival Valor sailing is a major itinerary shift — and definitely something guests should evaluate if they specifically booked for the Bahamas.
At the end of the day, ships evolve, ports adjust, and itineraries get fine-tuned. The key is staying informed well before packing your suitcase.
