Passengers sailing aboard Disney Adventure are expected to begin a magical 4-night cruise from Singapore this week.
Instead, many found themselves unexpectedly leaving the ship less than two days later after Disney Cruise Line officially canceled the voyage due to a serious technical issue.

Guests Had Already Spent the night on board

A New Ship Facing Big Problems
Part of what surprised many cruisers is that this is one of Disney’s newest ships.

The massive vessel was originally built for another cruise brand before being acquired and redesigned by Disney Cruise Line in 2022.
At more than 208,000 gross tons, the ship is significantly larger than Disney’s Wish-class vessels and is now the biggest ship in the fleet.
But the ship’s development hasn’t exactly been simple:

- Disney reportedly spent years redesigning and finishing it.
