I’ve been following cruise loyalty program changes closely, and yet again, another Carnival Corporation brand is making adjustments.
This time it’s Seabourn, the ultra-luxury cruise line known for its all-inclusive elegance.
If you’re a Seabourn cruiser — or thinking about becoming one — here’s everything you need to know about the Seabourn Club updates coming October 20, 2025.
Unlike the sweeping changes we’ve seen from Carnival Cruise Line, Seabourn’s changes are a mix of benefits and stricter rules you’ll want to stay on top of.
The Big Change — Use It or Lose It
One of the most significant shifts in the updated Seabourn Club is this:
If you don’t sail with Seabourn for three years, you’ll lose your loyalty status.
That’s right. To keep earning benefits — and to hold on to your current tier — you’ll need to sail at least once every three years.
You’ll also need to officially enroll in the updated program, even if you’re an existing Seabourn Club member.
📝 How to Keep Your Status:
- Sail at least once every 3 years
- Join the updated Seabourn Club program before it launches
Seabourn says they’ve designed this update to make loyalty perks more rewarding for active cruisers — but it’s clear they also want to encourage guests to cruise more frequently.
Seabourn Club Changes
With Seabourn’s updated loyalty program launching on October 20, 2025, the cruise line isn’t just tightening rules — they’re also sweetening the deal for loyal guests.
And honestly? Some of these new perks sound pretty appealing if you’re sailing often.
What’s New in Seabourn Club Benefits?
Seabourn is adding some pretty solid perks for their Silver tier and higher members.
Here’s what you’ll now get with the new program:
| Club Level | New Benefit |
|---|---|
| Silver & Above | Complimentary Stream Wi-Fi Package |
| Gold & Platinum | Unlimited Complimentary Laundry |
| Diamond Members | 100 Bonus Club Days (awarded when program updates on Oct 20, 2025) |
| Diamond Elite Members | 150 Bonus Club Days (awarded when program updates) |
I especially love the idea of free laundry at the Gold tier — that’s a perk you’ll definitely use on longer cruises.
Easier to Level Up — New Club Points Requirements

Seabourn is actually making it easier to reach higher tiers by lowering the number of points required. Here’s the new breakdown:
| Club Level | Old Requirement | New Requirement (Oct 2025) |
|---|---|---|
| Club Member | 1 point | Same (you join with your first cruise) |
| Silver Member | 20 points | 15 points |
| Gold Member | 75 points | 50 points |
| Platinum Member | 140 points | 100 points |
| Diamond Member | 250 points | 200 points |
| Diamond Elite Member | 650 points | 500 points |
So if you’ve been cruising with Seabourn already, you might find yourself bumped up to a higher tier once these changes kick in!
Seabourn Club in 2025 — How to Earn Points, Free Cruises & What You Might Lose
One of the reasons I’ve always liked the Seabourn Club is their generous loyalty rewards, especially their complimentary cruise offers.
With the upcoming program update, those perks are still around… but with a few tweaks you’ll want to know about.
How You’ll Earn Club Points with Seabourn
The basics stay the same, but Seabourn is giving you a few extra ways to rack up points under the new system:
- 1 point for every day sailed on a Seabourn ship
- +1 bonus point per night if you’re in a Penthouse or Premium Suite
- +1 bonus point for every $500 spent on eligible onboard and pre-cruise online purchases
I like that they’re rewarding premium suite guests and big onboard spenders — it means you can climb tiers even faster if you indulge a little.
Complimentary Cruises — Still a Signature Seabourn Perk
Yes, Seabourn is keeping their signature complimentary cruises, but now the thresholds for earning them are slightly adjusted:
| Club Days Earned | Complimentary Cruise Reward |
|---|---|
| 350 Club Days | One 7-day cruise |
| 460 Club Days | One 14-day cruise |
| Every 110 Club Days after 460 | Additional 7-day cruise |
Basically, after your first reward at 350 or 460 days, you’ll get another 7-day cruise every time you hit +110 Club Days beyond that.
Club Day Expiration — What Happens If You Stop Sailing?
This is where you’ll want to pay attention:
Your Club Award Cruises and accumulated Club Days will expire if you don’t sail at least once within a three-year period from your last disembarkation date.
So if you love those loyalty perks (and want to hang on to your status), make sure you cruise at least once every three years.
Seabourn’s Loyalty Program Update — Why They’re Changing It
As with most cruise loyalty updates, I always like to hear straight from the cruise line, and Seabourn has made it clear why they’re making these adjustments.
In their official communication to travel advisors, Seabourn said:
“We will continue to offer one of the most rewarding loyalty programs in luxury cruising and are committed to delivering exceptional value to our guests. We encourage you to familiarize yourself and your clients with the upcoming enhancements and explore the exciting new benefits detailed in the email below.”
📝 Why Is Seabourn Making These Changes?
- To balance benefits, rewards, and recognition based on customer feedback
- To make the program more rewarding for active cruisers
- To encourage guest loyalty and frequent sailing
I see this as a mix of good news and heads-up news. On one hand, they’ve dropped tier thresholds and added useful perks like Wi-Fi and laundry.
On the other hand, the three-year inactivity rule means you’ll need to stay loyal if you want to keep your status.
Is This Good News for Seabourn Cruisers?
I’d say… it depends on how often you cruise.
✔️ If you’re a frequent Seabourn guest: This is great. Lower point thresholds and new perks mean you’ll earn rewards faster.
✔️ If you sail occasionally: You’ll need to be mindful of the new expiration rule — even a single cruise every three years keeps you in the game.
✔️ If you’re aiming for complimentary cruises: The thresholds are still achievable, especially with the bonus points on suite stays and onboard spending.
