Carnival Venezia Bringing Italian-Style Cruising to Miami in 2027

Carnival Venezia Is Bringing ‘Italian Style’ Fun to Miami in 2027 – Here’s What to Expect

I’ve always loved it when cruise lines mix a bit of international flair into their ships — and Carnival Cruise Line’s Fun Italian Style theme has been one of my favorites to watch evolve.

That’s why I was genuinely excited when Carnival announced that Carnival Venezia will be moving to Miami in 2027.

For anyone who loves the energy of Carnival but also craves that touch of European charm, this is big news.

Starting in May 2027, the ship will officially call PortMiami home, expanding Carnival’s presence in Florida even further and giving cruisers more reasons to set sail from the Sunshine State.

Carnival Venezia: A Slice of Italy at Sea

When Carnival Venezia first joined the fleet, it made headlines as the first ship to showcase the brand’s “Fun Italian Style” concept.

Think Carnival’s signature good vibes — just with a Venetian twist. From gondola-themed décor to Italian-inspired cocktails, it’s a little slice of Italy floating through the Caribbean.

Now, after a seasonal stint at Port Canaveral, the ship will make its permanent move to Miami in May 2027, sailing six- and eight-day Caribbean cruises through April 2028.

I’ve sailed from Miami countless times, and let me tell you — it’s one of the best cruise homeports in the world.

The skyline views, the pre-cruise energy, and the fact that you can grab authentic Cuban coffee just steps from the port… It’s an experience in itself.

Venezia’s arrival there feels like the perfect match.

Six-Day Caribbean Itineraries

If you’re looking for a short but adventure-packed itinerary, Venezia’s six-day sailings will include some of the Caribbean’s most vibrant stops:

  • Celebration Key – Carnival’s brand-new exclusive destination in the Bahamas. Expect private beaches, crystal-clear water, and activities designed just for Carnival guests.
  • Ocho Rios or Montego Bay, Jamaica – Iconic island adventures from Dunn’s River Falls to jerk chicken by the beach.
  • Grand Cayman – A snorkeler’s paradise with stunning coral reefs.
  • Grand Turk and Amber Cove – Beautiful beaches, local shopping, and laid-back vibes.

I’ve visited all these ports before, and what I love most about them is the mix — some days feel like pure relaxation, while others are packed with excursions and culture.

Eight-Day Caribbean Itineraries

For cruisers who prefer a bit more time to unwind (and maybe a few extra umbrella drinks), Venezia’s eight-day itineraries are just as tempting:

  • Aruba – White sand beaches and perfect sunsets.
  • Bonaire – Known for its incredible diving and untouched beauty.
  • Curaçao – Dutch charm meets island color; you’ll love Willemstad’s pastel buildings.
  • Amber Cove – A great spot to relax by the pool or explore the Dominican countryside.

These Southern Caribbean routes are some of the most scenic you can take without flying halfway across the world.

And with Venezia’s Italian flair, it’s the perfect pairing of Caribbean warmth and Mediterranean elegance.

What Makes Carnival Venezia Special

This ship isn’t just about where it sails — it’s about how it feels. Onboard Carnival Venezia, you’ll find:

  • Italian-Inspired Dining & Bars:
    • Il Viaggio – A restaurant dedicated to regional Italian dishes.
    • Amari & Frizzante Bars – Serving Italian cocktails and bubbly spritzes.
  • Signature Carnival Favorites:
    • Bonsai Sushi
    • Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse
    • Heroes Tribute Bar – honoring military heroes
    • Cloud 9 Spa – the perfect post-excursion recharge
  • Entertainment & Fun:
    • Playlist Productions in the ship’s Teatro Rosso
    • WaterWorks Waterpark
    • Mini golf, family activities, and plenty of late-night fun

It’s that perfect blend of Carnival-style energy and Italian sophistication.

Why Miami Is the Perfect Fit

Miami is already Carnival’s busiest homeport, and Venezia’s arrival only strengthens that reputation.

The city’s mix of Latin, Caribbean, and international cultures aligns beautifully with Venezia’s global flair.

Plus, with over 4,000 guests onboard each sailing, the ship will bring even more options for travelers — from first-timers to loyal Platinum cruisers.

And yes — she’ll look stunning against the Miami skyline.
