After nearly two weeks out of action, Carnival Conquest is officially back at sea — and she didn’t return empty-handed.
The 110,000-gross-ton ship wrapped up a 12-day dry dock at the Grand Bahama Shipyard (February 6–19, 2026), emerging with upgraded public spaces, a reimagined casino layout, refreshed retail areas, and one very meaningful new addition onboard.

A Meaningful New Venue: Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge
The biggest headline from this dry dock is the arrival of the Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge. This isn’t just another themed bar.
It’s a space designed to honor:

- Service personnel from all branches
The venue has been steadily rolling out across the Carnival fleet since its debut on Carnival Panorama in 2019. Now, Conquest guests can enjoy the same patriotic setting.
Inside, guests will find:

- Souvenir glassware.
- A relaxed gathering atmosphere.
A portion of the proceeds from select purchases supports Operation Homefront, benefiting military families.
It’s both a social hub and a tribute space — and it replaces older public-use areas that previously occupied that footprint.
Casino Expansion & Non-Smoking Section Added
For guests who head straight to the gaming floor, the Tahiti Casino on Deck 5 got a noticeable overhaul.
Updates include:
- New slot machines.
- Reworked layout for better flow.
- A newly designated non-smoking section.
- Additional slot machines near the casino bar.
Casino renovations are often popular during dry docks because gaming remains one of the most heavily used onboard spaces — especially on short Bahamas sailings.
The redesign should make the space feel less crowded and more modern.
Shopping Spaces Get a Makeover
Retail therapy didn’t get left out of the refresh.
Luxury jewelry shops onboard — including:
- Effy
- Pandora
- Swarovski
— now feature updated, more polished layouts.
While this may seem like a small change, refreshed retail spaces can significantly improve the onboard atmosphere, especially on shorter itineraries where shopping is a big part of the cruise experience.
Teen & Family Spaces Improved
It wasn’t just adult-focused areas that received attention.
Carnival Conquest now includes:

Entertainment Layout Tweaked
One subtle but smart change involves the stage near Alchemy Bar.
The Casino Stage was relocated to:
- Improve crowd movement.
- Create better seating flow.
- Expand the space around the Alchemy Bar.
The result? A more open layout on Deck 5’s Promenade area — something frequent Conquest cruisers will likely appreciate.
A Ship With History — Now Polished Again
Carnival Conquest first entered service in 2002, making her one of the more seasoned ships in the fleet.
She previously underwent a major update in 2022 in Cádiz, Spain, when she:

Dry docks typically happen every 3–5 years, and this latest refresh keeps her competitive in the short-cruise Bahamas market.
Where Carnival Conquest Sails Now
With dry dock complete, Carnival Conquest resumed service on February 20 from PortMiami.
She now operates:
- 3-night Bahamas cruises.
- 4-night Bahamas itineraries.
- Frequent visits to Celebration Key.
- Select sailings to Nassau, Princess Cays, or Half Moon Cay.
Looking ahead to 2027, the ship also has three longer Carnival Journeys sailings scheduled, including:
- 11-night Southern Caribbean cruises.
- Stops at St. Thomas, Grenada, Barbados, Antigua, and more.
Despite being over two decades old, the ship remains a reliable workhorse in the fleet.
