American Cruise Lines is marking a historic milestone with a special campaign to celebrate the United States’ 250th birthday in 2026.
The cruise line’s “Celebrating 250 Years of America” initiative will span its entire fleet, with themed events, exclusive experiences, and patriotic tributes featured on sailings across 35 states — from Alaska all the way to Florida.
This year-long celebration will be included on every voyage throughout 2026, giving guests the chance to experience American history in a unique and immersive way while cruising some of the nation’s most iconic waterways.
Special Onboard Events and Patriotic Programming
To honor the country’s semi-quincentennial, American Cruise Lines is introducing a range of themed entertainment and experiences designed to celebrate American heritage.
Guests can expect:
- A special American-themed game show inspired by U.S. history.
- Daily trivia announcements featuring key historical moments.
- Red, white, and blue cocktail parties and desserts.
- A custom “Spirit of 1776” signature cocktail menu.

Historic Shore Excursions and July 4th Celebrations
The patriotic experience continues ashore, with included excursions at every port highlighting key destinations connected to America’s past.
One of the biggest highlights will take place on July 4, when guests sailing aboard the cruise line’s epic 52-Day Great United States Cruise will witness fireworks over Boston Harbor — the very location of the Boston Tea Party, one of the defining events that helped spark the American Revolution.
Independence Day celebrations across the fleet will include:
