Authorities arrested nine passengers before they could even board Royal Caribbean’s Symphony of the Seas, after narcotics detection dogs flagged suspicious luggage during routine screening.
The arrests happened on Sunday, February 1, 2026, as passengers were preparing to board a special Atlantis Events cruise, often promoted as one of the largest themed party cruises at sea.

He was charged with trafficking and possession offenses and later appeared in court, where a judge set his bond at $7,000.

Some suspects were released on bond, while others remained in custody at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
