Alaska fans, get your calendars ready — Princess Cruises has just announced its 2027 Alaska program, opening for booking on August 12, 2025.
The lineup is bigger than ever, with eight ships, five homeports, and more chances to sail into Glacier Bay than any other cruise line.
A Star Returns to the 49th State

One of the big headlines? The Star Princess will be returning to Alaska for the first time in years, joining a fleet that also includes Coral Princess, Crown Princess, Discovery Princess, Emerald Princess, Island Princess, Royal Princess, and Ruby Princess.
Princess will operate 187 Alaska voyages in 2027, calling at 17 ports and offering four different glacier-viewing experiences — including 85 visits to Glacier Bay National Park.
That’s more than any other line currently scheduled.
Where You Can Sail From in 2027

Princess will offer departures from five homeports:
- Seattle – Star Princess (7-day roundtrip Sundays), Royal Princess (7-day roundtrip Saturdays with Glacier Bay)
- San Francisco – Ruby Princess (10-day Inside Passage with Endicott Arm & Dawes Glacier)
- Vancouver – Emerald Princess (7-day itineraries featuring Glacier Bay or Endicott Arm), Coral Princess, Crown Princess, and Discovery Princess (varied 6–9 day Inside Passage sailings)
- Anchorage/Whittier – Voyage of the Glacier cruises on Coral, Island, Crown, and Discovery Princess — with the option to extend your trip at Princess’s five Alaska wilderness lodges, including Denali National Park
- Los Angeles – Emerald Princess (two 16-day Inside Passage roundtrips with Glacier Bay)
Glacier Viewing Highlights
Passengers can look forward to four iconic glacier experiences:
- Glacier Bay National Park – Featured on 85 sailings
- Endicott Arm & Dawes Glacier – A narrow fjord ending in a stunning tidewater glacier
- Hubbard Glacier – One of Alaska’s most active glaciers
- College Fjord – A dramatic collection of glaciers named after Ivy League universities
Princess Cruises’ Alaska Promise
Chief Commercial Officer Terry Thornton says the focus for 2027 is simple: bringing guests closer to Alaska.
“For 2027, we’ve designed experiences to bring guests closer to the soul of the Great Land – closer to glaciers, closer to wildlife, and closer to local culture and communities both onboard and ashore – all in a way only Princess can deliver.”
Limited-Time Booking Perks

To sweeten the deal, Princess is offering:
- Up to 40% off select Alaska voyages
- 3rd & 4th guests sail free (select cabins)
- Free stateroom upgrades if booked by August 18, 2025
- Reduced deposits — just $99 per person
Why This Alaska Season Stands Out
- Eight ships give travelers more itinerary variety than ever before
- 85 Glacier Bay calls means your odds of visiting this iconic national park are higher with Princess than with any competitor
- Five homeports make it easier for travelers across North America to join
- Cruisetour options allow you to combine your voyage with a stay in Alaska’s wilderness, including Denali
Whether you’re a first-time visitor hoping to see your first calving glacier or a seasoned cruiser chasing new ports and longer voyages, Princess’s 2027 lineup delivers more ways to experience Alaska’s wild beauty.
